Meet Ahmad: A Remarkable Student and Recipient of the Vyrle Davis Student Achievement Award

Ahmad is a remarkable young man who has worked hard to become an outstanding reader and student since the first grade in the M.A.S.T.R. Kids Program. He recently received the prestigious Vyrle Davis Student Achievement Award, which is named after an inspiring community educator who mentored students and teachers and encouraged them to reach for excellence in programs like Ebony Scholars and 500 Role Models. Mr. Davis was not only a family friend but also a Sunday School hero. We couldn’t be more proud of Ahmad for his incredible achievements, and we believe that Mr. Davis would be proud of him too!

I have served 24 years within the Elementary school setting in various instructional roles.  I have also served as the Mentor Coordinator for new and returning teachers.

I have led professional development for faculty at several schools within Pinellas County.  I have coached colleagues in the understanding and delivery of the standards of reading and writing.  My love for learning is what drives my passion for teaching.  When I look into the eyes of a scholar who needs me, that is where I find my passion!
