All of the curriculum we use in this program is evidence based, with Benchmark Advance Reading and i-Ready Math being the primary curriculum. As students often have different learning styles, Teachers are encouraged to augment the primary curriculum as needed with supplemental tools that are consistent with Florida standards. In addition to Reading and Math coursework, every student also attends STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) classes, giving them an opportunity to practice newly acquired skills while inventing, collaborating, constructing, and learning in a very hands-on, project-based format. These skills are also foundational when we think about the work scholars are preparing to do in the future.
