A contribution of any amount makes a difference for scholars, their families and the community in which they live. Your gift allows us to offer rigorous academic support to close the achievement gap for scholars in the at-risk community of south St. Pete, provide nutritious food and wellness activities, educate middle school scholars about future career opportunities, safely transport students to our program sites, offer educational field trips that expand perspectives and reinforce learning and so much more.

Our Financials

Just $5 provides breakfast and a morning snack for a scholar in Summer Camp. Make it a recurring gift and you provide meals and snacks to 12 scholars!

A one-time donation of $20 provides a summer field trip (entrance fee, lunch, drink) for one student, giving them a chance to learn more and practice their skills in a real-world environment. $500 gives that opportunity to 25 scholars!

$35 funds a National Inventor’s Hall of Fame STEAM Activity kit for 1 scholar. $500 provides kits for an entire class. STEAM lessons develop both sides of the brain and allow scholars to practice reading and math while also having FUN!

$425 provides 5 weeks of summer career education for one middle school student, exposing them to career opportunities they might not otherwise learn about.

This program grabs and engages children and they in turn enthusiastically apply themselves to bringing their skills to meet or exceed expected standards. While the Pinellas schools system has recognized the problem, the steps being taken will not have an impact today on the kids that the system is failing. SPPF does exactly that and gives these children an opportunity to have a successful and productive experience with the education system.
