Elaine Woosey asked:

Being simply gorgeous is almost every woman’s dream but most women are under the misconception that they can only be ’simply gorgeous’ if they look like a stunning super model.

The truth is when most men refer to a woman as ‘Simply Gorgeous’ they are not talking about their looks alone because men can usually see past all the camouflage and are more interested in the real woman that lies beneath.

Developing your personality is just as important, if not more so.

Creating the image you present to the world is not just about what you look like but also what you do with it and how you behave.

Here are five beauty tips to get you started:

Simply Gorgeous Beauty Tip 1

Have you hair cut in a style that suits your face and your lifestyle. A gorgeous head of hair that bounces and shines will attract attention. Make sure you eat plenty of protein rich foods such as: meat, fish, tofu and dairy products because these foods will help you to grow healthy strong hair, which will look better and be easier to manage. Have it trimmed regularly to get rid of any split ends.

Simply Gorgeous Beauty Tip 2

Lose pounds without trying. Dieting doesn’t work and you are more likely to gain weight than lose it but skipping breakfast won’t help you either. Eating breakfast will kick start your metabolism and you’ll have the whole day to burn off the calories. When you do eat breakfast you are more likely to make better low calorie choices throughout the day because of it. If you do this every day you will lose pounds without even trying.

Simply Gorgeous Beauty Tip 3

Feed your skin. The food choices you make today will directly affect how your skin looks tomorrow so for vibrant healthy skin eat foods that are naturally high in good quality protein, omega 3 oils and vitamins C and E. Your diet also affects wrinkles, skin tone, eye-bags and puffiness. This is one of the reasons your face looks puffy and washed out the morning after the night before if you’ve been out boozing or had a take-away.

Simply Gorgeous Beauty Tip 4

One of the secrets to looking good is having confidence in yourself. Boost your body image by concentrating on your assets and showing them off to their best advantage. If you have been told you have great legs then pamper yourself by indulging in some sensuous oils for them or add leg revealing floaty outfits to your wardrobe. This will do wonders for your self esteem as well as making you look good.

Simply Gorgeous Beauty Tip 5

Learn to look, laugh and listen. Giving eye contact is important and shows you are interested in the conversation. Laughing in all the right places shows you are paying attention and enjoying yourself. Make sure you crinkle the corners of your eyes; it’s more convincing and very attractive. A woman who truly listens to what they have to say is a huge turn for men.

Most times women who are said to be ’simply gorgeous’ believe in themselves and present a warm and friendly personality making them highly approachable and extremely attractive.

Have confidence in yourself, learn to love your body and show off your best assets and you will be simply gorgeous.

A lot of the dry skin state of affairs that make a victim of us in the winter be able to improve. Rinse out the face and body by means of warm water as a replacement for boiling water.
Adam Singleton asked:

For many, the average men’s shirt is simply a garment of utility – one that is worn by men across the world for reasons of function and not necessarily fashion. But this attitude belies the hundreds of years of trends in men’s shirts. From the typical collarless shirts with billowing sleeves worn by classical painters to the modern formal button-down shirt, men’s shirts have captured the imaginations of both designers and ordinary men for generations. In the twentieth century in particular, a range of different shirt styles have proved popular with men of all ages.

One of the most important developments in men’s shirts over the last hundred years, for example, has been the invention of the polo shirt. The polo shirt, or ‘tennis shirt’, was created by legendary French tennis player Rene Lacoste in 1929 as an alternative to the stiff dress shirts and ties typical of tennis attire at the time. In the 1960s, Ralph Lauren propelled the polo shirt to new heights as a prominent item in his ‘Polo’ collection; and since this time the polo shirt has become so popular that it is now a standard category of clothing – although it has fallen out of favour with most tennis players.

The granddad shirt has also been a long lasting trend in men’s shirts in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. These collarless shirts have been popular with men in warm countries for decades and have seen a variety of incarnations throughout the years. The Nehru Jacket, for instance, is a South Asian version of the modern granddad shirt that was popularised by the first Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in the 1950s and early 1960s, and has since been prominently worn by a number of celebrities, from the likes of Sammy Davis Jr to Steven Segal. Today’s granddad shirt preys on bright colours and an ethno-bohemian vibe that appeals to a variety of men’s fashion trends – from festival clothing to smart casual summer wear.

The button-down shirt has also been one of the most influential men’s shirts in fashion history – but memories of how it was created tend to be somewhat hazy. Some fashion experts claim that the button-down collar shirt was invented by an American shirt manufacturer who was inspired by an English polo match, in which players had their collars clipped down to avoid flapping in the wind. Others say that button-down shirts were created in New York, when their inventor (as yet anonymous) attached his collar to his shirt with buttons in a fit of annoyance at the oncoming wind.

But whatever the origin of the button-down shirt, its impact on the men’s shirt industry has been historic, as button down shirts are now worn in both formal and casual contexts. Today, short-sleeved men’s shirts are often worn with skinny jeans, large belts and tailored waistcoats for a fresh and informal look that still exudes smart chic. And with men’s shirts available in a variety of colours – from grey to raspberry – and in a variety of floral and striped patterns, it’s clear that evolving trends in men’s fashion are far from over.

Ricardo Lubis asked:

As a teenager, especially a girl, it is the time when you start recognizing makeup and how to wear it to make you look more beautiful. However, in the age of teenagers means that you still have sensitive skin especially for your face so that you have to be careful in choosing the right and suitable makeup products to use. You have to think about the ingredients concerning the chemical contents; make sure they will not give bad impacts to your young skin.

If you are in around the sixth grade, you should watch the makeup level that you wear, do not make it look too heavy. You may use mascara, lip gloss, or maybe a little bit of eye shadow touch in natural look and style. Do not apply them too much because it will not look good. Or better look you should make the makeup match with your clothes. In choosing the clothes itself you must also pay attention to your body shape and do not let it be overrated. If you are a little bit older, you can try to have different hairstyle in some days of the week, maybe by having it curled or anything rather than just having your natural hair style. In seventh grade it is already safe to use foundation to help you cover up and conceal the acne.

In the age of seventh grade you may also use mascara, but once again you should not use it too much. You can also wear some accessories to complete your cool outfit. In choosing the right stuffs to wear, you should try on yourself; make sure they fit you. In the eight grades it is the time for you to impress some guys so it can be the right time for you to try more mature styles like wearing blazers and having your own hair style. Try it now and be cool teen by impressing your friends at school.

Marcus Ryan asked:

When you’re younger, it’s easy to look at “old lady” clothes and exclaim that you’ll never wear them, but in order to age gracefully, you should change your style somewhat as you age.

In other words, while it’s OK to reject the idea that you should dress like an older person (no matter how old you are), not changing your style can do more than you might think to draw attention to your age.

Let’s look at some good tips for looking younger through your fashion choices.

Change it up

First, many women fall into the common trap of sticking with a style that was once flattering long after it is flattering. For example, you might have found a style that worked beautifully for you when you were in your 20s.

The trouble with sticking with that style is two-fold – first, it’s likely out of style by the time you hit your 40s and it might simply be “too young” for you which will draw attention to your current age, which is completely contrary to what you’re trying to do.

Pay attention to season

To look young and stylish, it’s important to change your wardrobe with each season. That means paying attention to what’s in style, what’s new for each season and making appropriate changes.

In fact, think about making just one small change each season. Perhaps you like those clothes from your 20s and think they are perfectly in style for today’s times. But if you add a large scarf in the color of the season, or a fashionable new bag, you can be sure that your style is current and young.

Be appropriate

Dressing to look younger doesn’t mean wearing tummy-bearing tops and heels that are just too high. That only draws attention to the fact that you are not in your 20s anymore.

Instead, look at the best dressed young women you know. Pay attention to how they dress. It’s likely that if they are nicely dressed young women, you can get some clues from them. Maybe it’s a graphic T shirt that’s got a little more youth to it than your plain T. Maybe it’s jeans with some design on them. Both of these can add a youthful spirit to your look without looking inappropriate.

When in doubt, go traditional

Now, by traditional we don’t mean Chanel and polyester suits all the time. Not at all. In fact, that kind of dressing can make you look older (especially if you have also not updated your hair or makeup).

By traditional, we mean stick with the basics. If the thought of injecting too much youth into your wardrobe seems overwhelming, then don’t.

Instead, stock your closet with basics built around particular colors. If you love to wear black, focus on purchasing basics in black and white perhaps with red also thrown in for good measure.

Each season, add that trendy item we talked about (the bag that’s stylish right now, the large scarf, the patent belt) and you will immediately look not only pulled together, but in style as well. And that goes a long way toward making you look younger.

Hopefully you have gleaned some good ideas for keeping your style, current and young.

Ramya Rangarajan asked:

Fall’s here and winter’s coming. It’s time to move out old clothes from your wardrobe and make space for new apparel to suit the season. But before you go on your shopping spree, you may want to consider what’s on the runways for Fall/Winter 2008.

‘Sexy and classy’ are the features defining fashion this fall and winter. Sculpted architectural shapes in regal purples, soft grays and flesh tones are in. This season the waist has made a come back, with belted swing coats, curvy dresses, nipped-in waist coats and pencil skirts.

While tailored jackets and wide-legged pants work for the office, for casual wear your turtlenecks and boot-cut jeans can remain. Also try the fringed furs and peasant headscarves of the Russian doll folklore trend which has made an appearance with distinctive shapes this season.

Plaid prints are in too. Mismatched colors and geometric patterns dominate skirts, tops, dresses and tights. Dolce and Gabbana and Ralph Lauren are the designers who have a passion for plaid this season. However, you do not have to do away with your floral prints to make way for geometric patterns. Floral prints in dark shades defy fashion trends this fall and winter.

Oversize cable knits and off-shoulder Cashmere sweaters have replaced the wool coats. Overall, jewel tones, purples, loads of black and gray and rusty copper colors dominate this season. So, keep these trends in mind while you’re shopping. But also remember to choose something you’re comfortable in- because comfort is the best trend of all seasons.
